Scientists,
We have learned a lot about the sounds around us. We now know how sounds are made, how they travel, and how sounds can be described. Imagine that you are a musician in the orchestra below. The conductor asks the instruments who play sounds with a low pitch to play together. Which instruments might you hear? Use evidence from the article to explain how low and high pitches are created. Second graders, we have been learning so much about Air and Weather in our classrooms. Please read the book below and answer these questions about weather: 1. Make a CLAIM: Do you believe weather can be dangerous? 2. Support your claim with EVIDENCE: Find two pieces of evidence from the book that explain your claim. 3. Share with us your scientific REASONING: Explain in your own words why understanding our weather is important. Super Storms starts on page 231 |
